NEW Launch Pad Sumo Ballast Bags

January 28th, 2009 by John

New for 2009, Launch Pad Introduces the Sumo Sac Ballast Bags

The Launch Pad Sumo Sacs are the most flexible, puncture-resistant ballast bags available today. Made with a sandwiched, woven polyester core and have internally glued and taped seams for a nearly indestructible bag. The sandwich construction keeps them thin, so they are easy to fold up and store when not in use. All Launch Pad Sumo Sacs come standard with the LPL (Launch Pad Link) check valve System. The Launch Pad Link system addresses and corrects all of the past aggravations of filling your ballast bags. The bag valve is spring-loaded so that the pump’s nozzle opens it up during both filling and draining, which means no more water shooting into the boat.

NEW 2009 Ronix Wakeboard Boots Explained

January 14th, 2009 by John

All 2009 Ronix Wakeboard boots have been redesigned from the chassis up. Once again Ronix has one up’ed  the Wakeboard industry with new technology and manufacturing processes to improve the ridability and fit of their boots. To minimize the wakeboard boot footprint on the top deck of a wakeboard all Ronix chassis come with the new 6” plate. No need to worry about using the New Ronix Boots on Older Wakeboards (8″ hole pattern) as 2 converter “Spacers” come in each box sold from Wakeside.com.

Ronix Baseless Technology (1/3 Lighter Weight 1/3 Lower Profile):
The only separation between a rider’s foot and a Ronix board is our new high impact shock absorbing footbed. Over the last three seasons our engineers have been designing, testing and tweaking a new patent pending baseless system. A system that makes our boots 1/3 lower in height and lighter – who doesn’t want the best in boot to board response and a lighter setup to throw in the boat? Our new super rigid chassis mounts to a 6” hole pattern reducing heel lift and maximizing energy transfer.

Feet Belt Fastening Construction:
The feetbelt seats your foot in the correct position in the boot by drawing your foot into the heel pocket. These float free of the outer shell to conform to the exact dimensions of your ankles. This system is the future of Wakeboarding boots. It raises the comfort and support of heel hold down to a whole new level.

Double Lasted Ronix Liners:
Building a last of a wakeboarder’s foot and simulating the movement while riding is the most critical tool in creating boots that fit properly. A last is an aluminum cavity that replicates every component of a foot determining the shape and size of the liner and a finished boot. This foundation is developed through an extensive R&D process based on what riders and engineers determine will produce the best in fit and performance. Double lasting creates an exact fit from your foot to the shell of the boot for the best in comfort and response. Ronix uses the most compact and low profile lasts to reduce bulk and eliminate any unnecessary material.

Ronix’s first unique lasting process is molding the liner around a last designed to the shape of an actual foot and leg. This step ensures the inside of the liner will have a great fit right out of the box. These are formed inside an actual shell to create the perfect net fit between liner and boot.

The second part of Ronix’s lasting process is molding the inside of the shell. This creates a liner to shell coupling that eliminates any “dead space” or “hot spots”. After the second lasting, the previously molded liners are inserted into the shell and the boots are ready to ride.

Ronix Universal Tool Less Hardware System:

No more low end hardware for any Ronix boot. This is not a Cam System.
The tab is only used for leverage. Less moving parts means less breakage while on the water. Throw your screwdriver away or at least put it in its appropriate place because Ronix Bindings for 2009 will come equipped with their new tool less mounting system.

Produced by Alliance Multi Media & directed by Keith Kipp, this film promises to deliver a perspective never before captured in a wakeboard film.
