Liquid Force Truth 33 Surf Expo Wake Awards…

Tradeshow season is complete, and Liquid Force has been named Manufacturer of the Year for 2008!!!  Congrats to the LF Team, and thanks to all out there for the great support!

There is plenty going on here at LF, so let’s get right to it…

Liquid Force named 2008 WSIA Manufacturer of the Year!

At the Wake Awards Show that went down during Surf Expo in Orlando, Liquid Force was

named Water Sports Manufacturer of the Year for 2008.  That is three of the past four years for us, although we aren’t taking it for granted.  It’s a good pat on the back for the LF team, and all the more reason to work even harder in 2009!

There was quite a buzz at the Liquid Force booth all weekend long down in Orlando!  We unveiled all of our new ’09 product to our dealers, had our team on hand to discuss and talk about their pro-models, and ran tons of media through our booths to show off our new product line.  We also dropped our new limited edition product for 2009, which includes some never before seen board and boot technologies.  Be sure to check out all of our new product shortly at an authorized LF dealer near you!

2008 Wake Awards

Besides LF winning the top award at Wake Awards,
Danny Hampson won Wakeskate Video Performance for Volume Wakeskate #8.
If you haven’t seen it yet, DJ Dan C. E. kills it!  Young LF ripper
Harley Clifford won the On Point Award, which goes out to the best up
and comer in wake. World Champion Phillip Soven accepted his large
check for winning King of Wake two years in a row now, the guy is on
fire!  Silas Thurman and James Balzer got voted best dressed, as they
accented their senior prom suits with custom Liquid Force embroidered
ties.  It was a night to remember.

Final 2008 Pro Wake Tour Rankings

The season is complete, and team LF has flexed it’s muscles once again.  Phillip took home the Men’s Pro Tour title in 2008, winning ever heat of all five Pro events on tour.  He dominated at the highest level, and has established him self securely as the best contest rider in the world!  Phillip is on track to continue his dominance for the next decade, if not longer.  Congrats on all of the hard work Phil!

On the Jr. Men’s level, Harley and Bob battled each other and Jimmy all year long to settle in at #2 and #3 overall for the year.  These guys have really elevated their riding and have big plans for the future.  Look to Harley and Bob to lead and push each other over the next few years to always be competing for the top spot.

On the Pro Women’s Tour, the maven girls represented well with 4 riders in the top 6!  Amber led the group with a #2 finish overall, followed by Shelby, Melissa, and Raimi.  Week in and week out, our girls were battling for the top position at every single stop.  They could not have done a better job, thanks to all LF Maven for working so hard!

LF Maven Update

Team Maven has been hard at work all year, finishing out Maven Sessions for 2008 on a strong note.  We were all over the country, teaching women of all ages to ride and getting them hooked on the sport we all love.  Thanks to all of the Maven girls for their hard work at each stop!  We will start to plan out the 2009 Maven Sessions schedule here shortly, so be sure to check out www.liquidforcemaven.com for regular updates!

The liquidforce.com that you have all grown to know and love is going to be going through some changes in the next few weeks.  We are in the process of loading all new 2009 product to the site, so come the beginning of October be sure to check our complete product line online.  We are also adding a new shopping feature to the site, so you’ll be able to purchase all of your favorite LF products directly from our site.  If you don’t have a dealer in your area, this will help you get everything you need much easier from now on.

We have a new blog set up on the site!  Be sure to check out www.liquidforce.com/blog on a daily basis for continuous updates and news on all things Liquid Force related.  We have so much going on here and want to keep all LF supporters in the loop, we have added this blog feature so you’ll all now be in the know!  Be sure to email us any additions or happenings in your local area, we’ll be sure to include them!

Go to Wahoo’s to find the Liquid Force Magalog!

Liquid Force Films Update

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, you should be well aware of all of the great things happening with LF Films (www.liquidforcefilms.com).  LF Films chief Collin Harrington has been busy at work the past few weeks with a new video from BROstock #2 at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia.  He’s also nailed a new Liquid Force commercial that you’ll be seeing shortly, check it out on the site.  Collin also sits down with Men’s Pro Tour Champion Phillip Soven to reflect on his accomplishments during a great ’08!  We’ve also loaded teaser’s for some new videos that we are sponsoring.  Billabong’s Out of The Pond features LF athletes Shawn Watson and Kevin Henshaw, it won’t disappoint.  Box of Fun features numerous LF teamriders and is filmed and produced by our Collin Harrington.  We are stoked to be involved in both of these projects, check back for future premier and release details.

“I just got back from a month long trip to 4 different countries in Europe.  My trip went extremely well, I won every stop of the Wake Park World Series!  1st in Kiev Ukraine, 1st Copenhagen and 1st in Hamburg Germany.  So stoked!  I went live in MTV Europe for the Hamburg event and even had an interview on MTV too.  The event at Hamburg was called the T-mobile extreme playgrounds and the place was absolutely packed.  Almost 10,000 people!  They had a BMX comp and they had Pennywise play at the event too.  Thanks for all your support, see you at a cable near you soon!”

WWA Wakeboard Worldchampionships

World’s just recently completed in Oklahoma City, with team LF on-site for a strong showing.  With numerous teamriders in the top five within each category, some of the highlights included Ben Watts taking 1st in Jr. Boys and Raf, Harley, and Bob taking 2-3-4 in Jr. Men.  The surprise of the event may be Balzer taking home 4th in a staked lineup.  Look for big things from Jimmy Balz in 2009!

FUEL TV’s The Daily Habit

In case you missed it, Liquid Force Maven’s own Shelby Kantar and Melissa Marquardt recently appeared on FUEL TV’s the Daily Habit.  The girls were up at the studios in LA to discuss their new ’09 pro-model boards/bindings, what’s happening in the next few months, and all things Maven related!  Check out FUEL TV as they’ll be re-running the show regularly over the next few weeks.

Liquid Force Hungary

Our crew over in Hungary has been hard at work spreading the LF message, and recently added a new LF vehicle to fleet.  If you happen to be in Eastern Europe, be sure to be on the lookout for our crew out there pounding the pavement!

2008 Wakeword.com Riders Choice Awards presented by Liquid Force!

2008 was another record-breaking year for participation in our 8th Annual Riders Choice Awards.  Wakeworld has tabulated the results and now your collective voices will be heard by the wake industry!  WakeWorld appreciates your participation and thanks everyone for making a statement about the riders and products that make up wakesports.

So what do the results look like for 2008? As usual, there are a few surprises and probably a few on which you would have bet the farm.

Phillip Soven jumped up one spot to follow Rusty in the #2 position for Rider of the Year.

In the Top Female Wakeboarders category, Amber Wing continued her climb toward the top by moving up one more spot to #2.

Aaron Reed is responsible for breaking the longest-running streak in Riders Choice history. For the first time in eight years, Brian Grubb did not come out in first position in the ranking of the Top Wakeskaters

Now let’s take a look at the 2008 products. This year’s Wakeboard of the Year also won this category two years ago, so I’m sure Shawn Watson is happy to have his Liquid Force pro model back on top. In fact, the same thing happened in the Binding of the Year category. The Liquid Force Watson won two years ago and has now made its way back to the top.

The Liquid Force SST was runner up in the Wakeskate of the Year category.

Another first for the Riders Choice Awards happened in the Wakesurf Board of the Year category. Hyperlite was knocked from the top spot by the Liquid Force Custom in its second year of production.

The Innovation of the Year competition went to one of the simplest ideas in the Liquid Force Vantage binding.

Once again LF continues to dominate on all levels!!
