On Saturday March 8th, 2008 The Projects wakeboard and wakeskate camp is having a Grand Re-Opening Party. After seven months of closure, the Projects is re-opening to the public. Please join us for a BBQ, fishing contest, world’s largest slip and slide (Projects Style), riding in the park and a host of games and giveaways.This is an all ages event. There is a pretty good street section, a super fun 4′ mini ramp, and an old guy approved big bowl section in an adjoining section of the warehouse. Being a girl amidst a dude heavy sport can sometimes be discouraging.Liquid Force has recognized our frustration and started up the Maven Sessions, a women’s only wakeboard clinic. The Maven Sessions get together local women riders of all ages and abilities for a day of product education, coached riding, and fun with the pros. After the session, the Maven girls come away with greater self confidence, fine-tuned skills, and a new posse of ladies to ride with. Read more…
