Adam Errington Takes the Podium for Ronix
May 4th, 2007 by SpencerORLANDO, FL - April 29, 2007 - Team Tige rider Adam Errington placed second beating seasoned veterans at the first pro wakeboarding event of the year.
In 2006 Adam claimed the title of Jr. Men’s Champion and had one more year of eligibility but decided to step up to the pro division for the 2007 season. Errington placed 2nd at the Wake Games in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, April 29th. Crowds gathered from all over central Florida to watch the pro’s battle it out all weekend at the Orlando Watersports Complex. Spectators and fans all agree that Adam is a force to be reckoned with. Every run he makes he is going huge and being consistent with very technical tricks.
Adam’s first run for the qualifying round of competition on Thursday was flawless scoring 100 points and dominating his heat. At the quarter finals on Saturday Errington was focused and ready to ride. “I have been training non stop with goals of placing at all of the Pro Tour stops,”stated Errington. He scored 95.5 points and took 1st place again in his heat during quarter finals. On Sunday after riding in the semi finals and grabbing a score of 95 points this guaranteed him a spot in the finals for later in the afternoon.
Sunday was a perfect day to ride with warm weather and very little wind. Errington took the water first for the final battle of the Wake Games. Adam set the stakes high with a score of 88.5 points. After all the finalists rode Errington stepped up to second place on the podium.
